The community of mugur in loriu plateua were waken in a rude shock at 9.00pm by Gun shots from unknown raiders. 7 people were killed on the spot and others were injured
. In the incident , 26 homesteads were raided and more than 3000 animals were driven away. Confirming the incident the District commissioner for Turkana East, Elimi shaffi ibrahim said on phone that the incident was confirmed today at around 10.00am. The commissioner said that he was waiting for security personel from Lodwar to be taken to the scene for more investigations. Concerning the same incident, the O.C.P.D Turkana central Lawrence Mwaura Njoroge who accompanied the security team to the scene further said that he saw one body of an eighty year old man at the scene and was told by the residence that the injured lady was taken to Loyangalani mission hospital for treatment .
