Local news - 2.9.12 - By Mary Tioko - Priest said that universality of the law of God makes all to belong.

Christians of St. Augustine's Cathedral parish have been informed that the law of God is universal and complete. The vicar general Fr. Joseph Ekalimon said this today when celebrating 2nd mass at the cathedral parish where he is also the administrator. Fr. Ekalimon said that all the other laws that exist in the world are formed according to the different situations and emphasized the universality of the law of God which is suitable for all people. He added that any law that makes one complain is not the best. Fr. Ekalimon also mentioned that during the week, 3 children were baptized in St. Elizabeth small Christian community among the Jumuiya masses. He also appreciated the good work done by all the Christians in the course of the week and wished them the best in this other coming week. Fr. Ekalimon also urged all people to cling to the law of the lord so as to be on the right track in life. He challenged all to take care of orphans and widows in the society in order to practice their Christianity. He urged all to have the spirit of the law which is common good for all. Parents were also informed to offer parental guidance to their children and not allow them to be misguided by the community. Commenting on the teachers strike, the vicar said that teachers have aright for a just pay but he also mentioned that pupils also have aright to education. He called upon teachers and parents to look for a common law that will help all without affecting either side. He also urged the Christians to help all who wish to take leadership positions without looking at how much one has in terms of money so that they can elect leaders of high integrity.
