Turkana County
Government today released five Land Cruisers Installed with Radio calls to help
communities that live on the boarders. Speaking During the Ceremony Turkana County Deputy Governor Hon Peter Ekai said that the Vehicles are mainly to work
at the areas that affected by Raids. He also said that the Vehicles will also improve
in the communication within the borders. The areas that the Vehicles have been
allocated to include Turkana West, Kaptir
in Turkana South, Lokiriam, Kibish and Kapedo in Turkana East. The Radio call
is connected in the Radio room at the Governor’s office and will be monitored
by the Technicians. Deputy Governor also said that the county government will partner
with Safaricom, Celtel and other communication offices to ensure the whole of
Turkana county has network so as to enable easier communication.
