The
Diocesan staff were today informed that by virtue of them being
Christians, they are united in one spirit since they share one
baptism and proface the same faith. Bishop Dominic Kimengich said
that Christianity gives people moments of reflection on the readings
and that unites them. His lordship said this today when celebration
Monday staff mass at St. Thomas Chapel. His lordship emphasized on
the unity of Christians especially for those who are baptized
catholics and receive the holy communion which is supposed to bring
love and unity of Christ. He also challenged the staffs to take time
and prepare themselves before receiving the holy communion and thank
God for that sacrament after receiving it. Bishop informed them that
the best time to request for anything from God is after the receiving
the holy communion since Christ is within them that particular time
in a special way. His lordship said that the Eucharist is holy and
requires one to meet some requirements like for catholics, being
baptized Catholic and also meeting all the other sacraments like
confirmation. For those who are married the sacrament of matrimony
has to be received. Receiving these teachings strengthens the love
and unity of Christians especially when they follow the teachings of
Christ and should not be divided among them.
