The
Implementation committee team from National Assembly Tours Turkana county to
discuss with security team of Turkana county over the Issues of NPR as per the
law governing National Police Reservist.
Speaking in
the office of Turkana county commissioner the chairperson of Implementation committee
Hon Rosalinda Soipan said that as the Implementation committee team they are
moving round in the counties to find out to what extend the National Police
Reservist act 2014 has been Implemented.
Hon soipan
however said that the team will ensure the NPR who are playing a critical role
in this country are well equipped and should also be remunerated through a processes which is regulated
through salary and Remuneration commission.
The member
of parliament from Sigor in Pokot county Hon Philp Rotino said that National
police reservist should go through all trainings of other police officers to
enable them serve the community well.
On the other
hand the member of parliament of Kapenguria in Pokot county Hon Samuel Moroto
appreciated the community of Turkana for cooperating in peace Initiative that
since they moved round to the three counties people are now staying in peace.
The team of
9 c Implementation committee tomorrow will be in Loima sub-county to find out
how they are conducting to serve the community.
