Bishop Dominic Kimengich joined the Christians of St.
Michael Napetet for the Eucharistic celebration where plans are
underway to make the outstation of St. Augustine cathedral Parish a
parish. In his homily the bishop emphasized on the importance of the
sacrament of penance. He noted that only a few people go for
confessions and it is an important step in our Catholic faith. “it
does not mean you only go for confession when you have committed big
sins, even if its just thoughts you are welcome to confession.” He
said. After the Mass he lead the Christians in the Ground breaking at
the site where the house of the future parish priest will be
constructed and planted a tree. He was accompanied by his executive
secretary Fr. John Manzi who has been posted to be in charge of the
St. Michael Napetet church before its elevation to a parish level.
The Christians of St. Michael also held a fundraising yesterday to
help in the construction of the Parish house.
