Political leaders from Turkana South have called upon the
government to beef up security in Turkana South. Speaking during the burial of
5 people who lost their lives during the raid Member of County Assembly of
Katilia Hon. James Abei said that
Residents of Turkana South are living in fear as every day incidents of cattle
rustling occur. However Hon. Abei said that all security leaders in villages
and in the National level are to give out the exact report from the village
during the incidents. He also called
upon Police Commissioner David Kimayo to return back home guard guns which he
took from K.P.R during his visit in
Turkana south claiming that the guns were involved in the killing of AP Corporal Police of
Nakwamoru AP Camp, of which Hon Abei
condemned and said that it led to the killing of 5 people injuring 4.He
appreciated the work of O.C.P.D Turkana South
Mr Kipsang Changach for trying to help the residents of Turkana South, but
he also urged the government of Turkana County to construct the bridge connecting Kaptir, Nakwamoru and
Kaptir Kapelibok to enable security
officers rescue the residents from those areas.
