International Organization for Migration I O M In collaboration with Japan
Government through Japan Ambassador to Kenya H.E Tatsushi Terada today Launched
Fisheries Project at sale yard in Lodwar Town Turkana County. During the ceremony
the Japans Ambassador said that the government of Japan will improve the
construction of an economic Empowerment center for fisheries in Turkana County
and funded the fishing project with 1 million US dollars to support fishing
program. However he said that Japan government has many developing projects in
Kenya which Includes Education, Health in Nutrition development of climate
changes and many others. Gracing the Occasion was Turkana county Deputy
Governor Hon. Peter Ekai who said that the Launching of fishing Market is the
way of Marketing Turkana county and creating Economic development in the County.
Deputy Governor also said that the county government will cooperate with
Japanese Government to issue the project will bring change in Turkana County. Hon.
Ekai added that all fish Projects in Turkana county will be revived and the
county government has plans to construct the fish Industry and also find ways
of Transporting fish outside the country.
