The workshop for central deanary for the Church assistants was held at St.Teresa Pastoral centre. The workshop which was facilitated by Fr. Gregory was aimed at helping the church assistants to get knowledge of running church activities. Speaking to the Akicha Reporter, Fr. Gregory said that the most targeted groups are the the youth, the couples, and the catechists group among others.
The participants of the workshop were drawn from seven parishes among them were Kerio parish, St. Augustine, Lorugum, Turkwel, Holy family kanamkemer,St. Gabriel Kangatosa.
Shading light on the workshop , one of the participant said that it has been their desire as the central deanary to have the training inorder to help the catechism group so as to see them growing up in their faith and church involvement as a whole and have a feeling of worth as they partake their duties as Catholic Christians. The facilitator Fr. Gregory also said that they are hoping that the teaching is going to help them grow spiritually as teachers of faith in the catholic Church.
The participants learned a lot and still desire to be taught more in the spiritual field next time so as to keep in touch with more especially Catechism of the Catholic Church and reach out to the rest of the Denearies in the Diocese for better evangelisation.
