The 99.5 FM presented the talent show that involves various groups from st. Augustine's cathedral parish ranging from missionary children from St. michael Napetet, St. Augustine's missionary children especially from the programme watoto Jumamosi who presented various items ranging from Poems and songs.The upcoming local artist had a platform during the launching and most of them expressed their talents in songs and drama where they did a role play on the Logo of Akicha Radio, 'bringing light to the people'. The youth and the Adults who witnessed the launch had a lot to learn from the ceremony as they heard themselves live from Bishop Mahon Centre.The St. Augustine's first mass choir presented Turkana folk songs which were sung in unison by both male and female Turkana artists. The Local artist who participated in the event were awarded prizes.The climax of the ceremony was graced by the Bishop's Message which was read By the Manageress Mary Tioko when he spoke of the vision and mission of Radio Akicha. He said that the main aim of Radio Akicha was to bring light to the people. In all dimensions . Radio Akicha will continue to inform, educate and entertain the people of Turkana now that the coverage has increased to areas that were not reached earlier. The management wishes all those who helped in one way or another God's blessings.
