It was a pleasure for prisoners and the staff of the lodwar Gk prisons to join Auxiliary bishop Dominic Kimengich for a Sunday mass, to share the message of being the salt and light of the world.
The bishop who was accompanied by the parish administrator of St. Augustine's Fr. Francis Teo were joined by officer in charge of the Gk prisons Mr. Gerald Ongume and welcomed by catechist in charge of the prisons Mr. Brendam Etoot.
The mass which was conducted at the Gk prisons compound was meant also to assess the development in prisons that the diocese is involved directly or indirectly. During the mass, bishop Kimengich promised that the diocese will construct at least a structure at prisons to be used during masses other than conducting it under direct sun heat.
He preached the message of reconciliation among prisoners while in or after being freed from prisons and advised them to shun from revenge for their enemies and always pray for togetherness.
