His lordship Bishop Dominic kimengich celebrated holy Thursday in style. He literally washed the feet of twelve gentlemen during mass as a sign of humility and service to his flock. He said that Jesus loved us and humbled himself by washing the feet of his disciples and thus the bishop did this to show us the sign of love and service. His lordship said that when one washes the feet of another person, he/she makes the person clean. He encouraged he faithfuls to show love to all they serve in their various duties. He emphasized on the love of one another and said that when they do so they will be loving their father in heaven. Touching on the Eucharist, his lordship said that, one who drinks Christ's blood and eats his body will have eternal life . He added that this is a moment when God comes to renew their faith and strengthen them in Jesus christ. Bishop Dominic said that the son of God shed his blood to save us from our sins just like the Israelites were saved from Egypt when the Angel of destruction came and left them. He said that Thursday's events anticipates good Friday's events which christ himself showed when he died on the cross for our sins. Elsewhere, Holy family Kanamkemer assistant priest Fr. Fidelis Ubi received 16 new Christians in the sacrament of baptism at Sopel church which is 20 kilometers from Loturerei outstation. Fr.
