Leaders of Turkana today had a rough time when every body who could have had a chance to talk in a Turkana leaders forum, insisted that they are to the truth to people of Turkana instead of casting blame on each other.
In a meeting held at Lodwar Medical Training College on the oil exploration in the county by Tullow oil, most local leaders noted that for a long time Turkana politicians have never sat down to solve their differences. This being a closed door meeting for Turkana leaders, it was in preparation of the report to be presented to the ministry of energy, provincial administration and Tullow oil tomorrow.
The teams which were formed from all the six district were given five chances to present their views, where it emerged that the three Turkana MPs had nothing but to what they know a bout the issue of oil exploration, legal ownership of the land, employment of local people and and sharing of the profit.The leaders will be meeting tomorrow with the government officials and company officials to present the report and community views.
