The Auxiliary bishop spoke when he celebrated todays Monday mass at St. Thomas Chapel. He called upon all the staff to come together irrespective of their status , races, and social status and unite in professing one faith in Jesus Christ.
The bishop elaborated on salvation and said that God is calling all to the future salvation after doing all that he expects of them here on earth.
He said that in the reading of today God washed away all their sins and that is why they are assured of his salvation. He challenged the staff to take commandments of God seriously in their lives and this will make them assured of the awaited salvation. The urged the faithfuls to always seek his will to happen here on earth and in this they would prepare their heavenly treasures.
The Auxiliary said that God leaves all of us to choose whether we want to be saved or not,and that When one closes himself and does not allow the truth to be seen then he condemns himself.
The Auxiliary also touched on the judgmental attitude of people and urged the staff not to be judging others lest they would be judged as people sometimes judge others without knowing them. He said that When they say something against the other person then they kill that person. He informed them that the lord does not want them to judge others, He said that If they cannot say something good about the other person then they should seize from saying anything at all!
The Auxiliary finalized by informing them that People of low minds discuss people, and of great minds discuss ideas, he thus encouraged them to discuss ideas always.

Mahon FC Napetet draws 1-1 against Nawoitorong FC at a friendly match played at Kawalase primary school playing grounds today.
Nawoitorong FC opened the score with a own goal which was scored by Maruom who is a defender from Mahon FC. Mahon FC wasted so many chances after which Calvin Abach reacted with a corner and gave Mahon FC an equalizing goal which pleased his coach Victor Lodoso.
Speaking with one of the reporters of Radio Akicha Mahon FC coach Victor Lodoso said that the friendly match was conducted well and players were disciplined from both teams and so, no disciplinary actions of red cards were issued to any of the players during the match.

Local news – 22.1.11 - By Mary Tioko - Pontifical missionary union members recollection day takes place At St. Teresa's Pastoral centre in preparatio
The pontifical missionary society co-coordinator in the Diocese of Lodwar who is also co-ordinating the pontifical missionary union Sr. Rose Macharia today organized a day of prayer in preparation of commissioning of Holy family Kanamkemker Parish members.
The retreat which was facilitated by Fr. Geoffreyyy Nakutan brought together 68 members drawn from Holy family Kanamkemer and Nawoitorong outstation, St. Augustine's Cathedral parish' and St. Michael's Napetet members. Giving his input in the reflection Fr. Nakutan encouraged the members of P.M.U to exercise patience in their lives. He also said that a christian is the one who has time for prayer, reflection, visiting others and working hard to provide for oneself. Fr. Nakutan called upon the P.M.U members to have a spirit of solidarity and passion , spirit of service to others , spirit of reaffirming , Mercy and love and above all sharing the little resources as a team.
Fr. Nakutan said that the P.M.U. All Christians are called to make this world a better place to live in by making peace, improving environment and growing spiritually. The chairman of St. Augustine's cathedral P.M.U members Mr. Paul Ngumi explained the meaning of the various colours in the P.M.U Rosary which was prayer during the retreat saying that the green beads represent prayer for Christians in Africa, Red for Americans, White for Europe, Blue beads for Oceanic countries and lastly the Yellow colour for the Asian Christians.
In her concluding remarks Sr. Rose Macharia encouraged the members to use a rosary and prayers as weapons against the evil one. The Catechist of Nawoitorong who is also the member of P.M.U Mr. Benedict Lokwayen urged the members to implement all that they have been shared in the retreat in their day to day lives. He challenged them that their spirit of evangelisation is now renewed and they should go ahead spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. The recollection ended with mass.

The farewell for the out going Fr. Angel Valdivia was conducted today at St. Monica Kang'ole and St. Boniface Nasiger. During the mass solar radios were distributed to the Small Christian Community Representatives at St. Monica Kong'ole. The communities which received the radios were: St . Mary's, St. Teresa's, St. Luke's, St. Michael's and St. Peter's all from St. Monica Kang'ole. The mass was led by father Angel Valdivia, the mass was well celebrated and christian were taught how to be fishers of men. As Jesus choose the first disciples that Simon and Andrew the Christians were motivated to get other people to also know Christ and follow him as that has been a trend for several years up to now.
Apart from that father went ahead to give thanks to the Christians for the good time they have been together as he will be leaving to Lokitaung Parish also to spread the Gospel in response the Christians also thanked father Angel Valdivia for all the time they have shared with them. Radio Akicha was also not left behind were they taught they taught the people how to use the solar Radio. Lake deanery has held a high profile meeting at kataboi parish chaired by the Dean Fr. Joseph Ekalimon. The meeting which was attended by the seven parish priests and different religious groups, brothers and sisters congregation resolved to work together to bring about peace and reconciliation and to partner with the government in serving the society.
In the meeting the dean mentioned that the deanery is vast with many insecurity problems citing Todonyang parish, kaikor, lowangarek as the parishes hit most by the ethnic conflicts. The dean however acknowledged the great support from the diocese and government institutions to bring about remarkable changes in the region.
Other clergy priests were, Fr. George from Apostle of Jesus who hosted the meeting Fr. Stephen Ochieng of Missionary Community of St. Paul Apostle (MSCPA), Todonyang Parish priest Fr. Alex Champon, St. James Kaikor Parish, Fr. Ekalimon Joseph Lowarengak Parish, and Fr. Isaiah Ajiri of St. Mary's kalokol Parish.

The first ecumenical meeting has been held today at St. Theresa pastoral center to mark the beginning of a full week dedicated to Christian unity.
The meeting which was graced by his lordship The Auxiliary Bishop Dominic Kimengich of the catholic Diocese of Lodwar, Rev. Bishop Samwel Kaaleng International Pentecostal Holiness Church of Kenya, Chairman of Lodwar pastors Fellowship association Pastor Boniface Lokuruka, The catholic Priests Frs. Cosmas Longor, Fr. Joseph Okpala, Fr. Joseph Ekalimon, Fr. Raphael Cefalo, Mary Tioko of Radio Akicha among other members present.
The Shepherd of God's flock announced in one voice that unity of purpose is important in all aspect of life to bring about development, freedom and Gods love to all humanity. They cited the example of early church mentioned in the Acts of apostle 2:42-47.
Among the key points raised were that all Christians regardless of their denomination must remain in the word of God and follow all the teaching of the church. They should be in communion in everything they do and do it for the common good of everyone, they should be united by the body and blood of Jesus Christ commonly known as the holy Eucharist. Above all they should keep on praying for God's grace to prevail on earth.
