Preparations for the ordination of the Auxiliary Bishop Dominic Kimengich is on course in our survey revealed. The committees we talked to today said that everything was under control.
Tony Woods, the chairman of the welcoming committee, said that they have already identified where most of the visitors will put up. However he expressed his concern over unknown number of visitors.
On the other hand, the infrastructure committee spent most of yesterday and today putting up shelters as the communications committee dealt with the sound systems.
The chairman of the committee, Fr. Angel Valdivia spent most of the day putting necessary communication system in place. Other committees were equally busy most of the day. He was assisted by Radio Akicha technicians, Emmanuel Ekuwom and Macqueline Munialo. Elsewhere John Losuru the supervisor of the latrines project said that their work was on course and that they expected to complete the project before the ordination. Also the three choirs that have combined (St. Augustine's Cathedral, The Risen Christ-Nakwemekwi and Holy Family-Kanamkemer) were Polishing their songs under the guidance of their teachers led by Charles Lasare.
Fr. Dominic Kimengich will be ordained at St. Augustine's Cathedral, Lodwar on 22nd May 2010. The ordination will be presided over by Cardinal John Njue. Visitors are expected from various parts of the country. The ordination will be covered live by Radio Akicha.
