Over 100 missionary children yesterday visited the Lodwar district hospital to be together with their fellow children to welcome the new although they have been admitted for various ailments.
The children whose motto is to help their fellow children turned up in large numbers and prayed with kids and their parents from paediatrics ward after giving them the various gifts. The children who were led by their animator Sr. Adelide brought with them fruits, milk and messages of good recovery to those in pain.
Speaking to Akicha reporters at the Cathedral compound, Sr. Adelide thanked the parents of the missionary children and urged them to continue supporting their children and guiding in order to engage in charity work in the new year of 2011.
Sr. Adelide said the visit is a routine to all small Christian communities at St. Augustine's Cathedral parish. She said that every Jumuiya animating the Sunday mass begins by visiting the sick at the Hospital to pray with them every Friday at 5.pm. It was yet another opportunity for the young kids play their part which they did very well.
