Local news – 02.12.2010 - by Emmanuel Erukudi - Watch out while Driving; says Mr. Ronald Erukon

Early today, BodaBoda motorists were told to be careful and watch out when driving motorbikes, especially this festive season as this will help to a void careless accidents.
Speaking to radio Akicha reporter in his office, Mr. Ronald Erukon the security supervisor for bodaboda drivers said that motorists should drive with great care mostly in towns where many people are flocking especially this Christmas time.
He urged all motorists working at night to wear reflector jackets, membership cards and helmets for there security. He also added that drivers must not give motorbikes to untrained people like students and some passengers who normally request to drive when boarding motorbikes. Lastly he said that those motorists who are fond of drinking alcohol whenever they are on duty, should stop it in order to save the lives of many people in lodwar.
Mr. William Kerio the Bodaboda Association Welfare Chairman, also added that BodaBoda customers should have respect to the motorists when it comes to payments as this has been a serious issue whereby some customers refuse to pay for the service rendered to them and as a result this creates conflict between the two parties.
