Lodwar Boys High School are the champions of this
year’s school games after they defeated St Leos secondary school of Kakuma in
the finals.
The game ended nil nil in the normal then extra time
still no team was able to score, the headed into penalty shootout and Lodwar Boys thrashed St Leos 5 goals to
3.
In girls leg ball St. Kevin secondary school were
crowned the champions this after they defeated the defending champions Lodwar
Girls 4 goals to 3 in the penalty shootout.
Volley ball Boys Lodwar Boys high school were the
winners after they defeated Turkwel three sets to 2 and girls Uhuru girls from
Lokichar are the champions after they managed to eliminate Kapedo mixed 3 sets
to one in the finals.
The winning teams shall represent Turkana county in
the Inter schools county level games in
Busia county next week.
According to defending champion’s captain Lucy Napasi
said that they had prepared to represent the county but they were eliminated in
the penalties and she urged the rest of the team to take it essy and train for
next season.
The captain also wished St Kevin girls well as they
are representing the county in this year’s games.
