Nakwalele development organization's projects that aims at fighting against poverty and embrace hygiene, today was launched officially at Nakwalele chief's office.
Speaking during the launch, the manager community development funds Mr. Joseph Ruyo said that the aim of the project is to promote agriculture which includes bee keeping, animal keeping, maintain environment, constructing dams and peace keeping in the county. Mr. Ruyo said that 4milion shillings will be used to construct a modern slaughter house for the farmers in the county, to reduce loss that is normally met during dry seasons.
The project is also expected to reduce poverty, improve education standards, water preservation, forests preservation and to reduce dependency of relief food among Turkana community. The community development fund donated more than 19m while the CBO contributed more than 2m. The project will be working in the three division of turkana central district.
Among the guest present were the lodwar municipal mayor David Kinyonge among other provincial administration and local leaders.
