Kakuma Boys Secondary school which is also known as St. leo's Secondary has been closed down due to strike. Speaking yesterday in the school compound, the District Education officer of Turkana west Mr. Wilson Koromboii send the students home indefinitely until further notice.
Mr. Koromboi who was also accompanied by the executive Board of Governors led by their Chairman Fr. Paul Areman send the students have been sent home due to unrest that occurred at the school on Friday the 24th February 2012 where the students Damaged the school property and made away with other valuables belonging to the teachers.
Investigations into the cause of the strike are yet to be determined and the parents and students will be informed as soon as possible of when the school reopens. The whole school is out and awaits further communications from the Board and Education office.
