Tension in
Lodwar Town over Boda boda cyclist has reached to an end following the meeting
between the governor, OCPD and Boda boda Association which was held at the governor’s
office today. A dressing the boda boda, governor
of Turkana county Hon Josephat Nanok said that they had reached to an agreement
with the OCPD and the Boda boda Leader over the issue concerning the operation that
started on 4th this month. He promised to help them to a quire license but the
traffic law should remain and observed,this is what he said. At the same time
OCPD of Turkana county Mr Lawrence Mwaura told the motorist to cooperate with the police officer's
because Traffic laws is to protect them not to be Involved in the accident.
OCPD
continued that if one use helmet when accident occurs they will be safe.
But Boda boda spokesman Mr Erastus Ereng
said that for them to be Identify they should be registered to their
Association and if they want to funded should be in the group, so as from next
week they should be all registered. Mr
Ereng however urged them to be with the following protective devises like
Helmet, Reflector and insurance to protect their life, and this is what he had

that they should follow the law and if anyone found overloading shall be
charged according
