15 house holds in Nanyang'ikipi Location in Kerio division lives in fear of hostile hippos in the area .
The fishermen in the area are not fishing well due to fear of being attacked by the hostile animal and also fetching water is a problem.
It is believed that last week the animals injured 1 fisherman and destroyed three vessels .
The community in several occasions have asked the Kenya Wildlife Service to intervene but all the appeals have not yielded any fruit and this have forced the community to start hunting for animals.
However they are still appealing to the KWS to look upon them since it is not too late.
