Title deeds is necessary, in order to settle land problems and plots demarcations in Napetet Village.
The residents of Napetet village today were assembled in a Chief Baraza organized by the area chief where various issues were raised. In his speech Chief Patrick Lorogoi said that Demarcation of plots is necessary in order to settle arising problems concerning land.
The chief advised the plot owners to follow the land policies of leaving a meter between two plots for accessibility so as to a rest arising emergencies like fire outbreaks and diseases. Chief Lorogoi also warned those still not following alcohol rules to do so or else face the consequences of law.
He also said that those who sell alcohol must get licenses and abide by the new rules laid down by Nacada concerning Alcohol. He warned those who sell alcohol not to do it in odd hours as from 10 o'clock and beyond. The chief also encouraged parents to mobilize their children to join the various schools within the Turkana county and any child found loitering the streets as from Monday the 10th January 2011 will be arrested by police.
