The Christians at St. Mary's Kalokol catholic church today shared a challenging sermon from Fr. process Temu of Kalokol parish, on being the salt of the earth and the light of the world in their day to day lives.
In his homily, the parish priest challenged the Christians to be the salt of the earth and bring taste to the christian life. Giving the importance of salt in human life, the priest said that it adds taste to the food. He also said that the salt preserves food from going bad and so signifying Christian life of the salt, Christians should use their Christianity for the betterment of the community and others in order to bring positive impact to their life.
Giving the example of light Fr. Temu emphasized that as human being need light in their day to day lives, Christians should be the light that bring positive impact in the Christian life just as Jesus said he is the light of the world. He further said that even in our day to day life we have eyes but without light at night we are unable to know what we are doing and where we are going. He told the Congregation to be the light of the world and even at the odd hour when others need help we should step in and help. he urged the Christians to help to take away spiritual poverty and rather look unto the Saviour on everything they do.
