Kenya Union for blind gave out 76 bags of Maize to three most Affected disabled groups from Nakwamekwi and Kanamkemer. Speaking during the exercise the minister for public service, decentralized Administration and Disaster Management Hon Charles Lokioto said that he will rest only if his people have at least put something in their mouth. Since the central government brought 5000 bags of maize in Turkana county early last week Hon Lokioto has distributed more than 400 bags of maize to help those people affected by hunger. Hon Lokioto however said that following the drought that has hit most parts of the county and left many people emaciated. The minister added that if the normal person can lack food what of the disable, after meeting two chair persons of Nakwamekwi and Kanamkemer assessed their vulnerability they find out that the three groups were more vulnerable and they decided to give them food. He urged the welshers to celebrate with those people that has nothing to eat, he is still on the run to make sure the interior parts of the county that are also affected shall be reached.
