Turkana county government officially sworn in 6 chief officers and 1 county secretary on 24.12.2013



During the swearing in Peter Lokoli was sworn in as county secretary, Mathew Esinyen Logurale chief officer Trade, Tourism and Industrialization,Agnes Ekiru Mana chief officer Health services and sanitation, Major Rtd Ingolan Daniel chief officer public service, Decentralized Administration and Disaster Management Joseph Epuu Elim chief officer Energy, Environment and Natural Resources, Amina Awoi chief officer of Education, Human resources, Development, Culture and services. And Dr. David Eereng Loitakol chief officer for pastoral Economy and fisheries. Speaking during the excise Turkana county Governor Hon Josephat Nanok said that the team was appointed and county Assembly discussed after which they vetted them and approved to competent.
Hon Nanok also said that he is sure the team will serve the public therefor he urged the public to give them humble time to organize themselves. He added that those people who applied were all able to work but the chances were limited to seven people only however there are still some chances to be announced. The governor urged all the Leaders of Turkana County to come together and embark on development as twenty seven tine is still far to campaign. Turkana county government will not compared to other counties because they are starting the first development and the leaders should not rush but take their good time to assess what should come first in the issue of bringing the county to the level of the other counties. In the swearing in was MP. for Turkana central Hon John lodepe and MP. for Turkana south Hon James Lomenen who appreciated the good work the governor is doing but they also urged the governor to share ideas with other leader of Turkana county.
