The two weeks training that was being offered by IRC to the youths who are out of school, today winded up as its last day. The officer in charge Mr. Joseph Lolepo said that they had two groups of 16 each, of one finalized today and one will be finalizing tomorrow at splash guest house.
Mr. Lolepo said that they were only teaching healthy choices two, since healthy choices one is purely a bout Abstinence which is taught to youths aged between 10-13 years. He added that they targeted youths out of school because they Vulnerable.
However, he also noted that they intend to teach the youths in the seven divisions of the county starting from Kakuma, Lokichogio, Lodwar, Lokichar, Loima, Turkwel and Kalokol. He urged parents to allow their children to attend the training for it is for free of charge and it is of their benefit.
He said that the past training was of 8 modules and took two weeks, while the coming one will take 4 weeks and will be carried both in schools and out of school. He highlighted that, his organization is intending to reduce ignorance in the fight against HIV/AIDS, in the region so that youths may lead a better life.
