SAPCONE in conjunction with
the International Labor Organization (I.L.O) and the United Nations Trust Fund
for Human Security today opened a two-day workshop that took place at Choma zone
hotel in Lodwar town to mainstreamed child labor concerns in the Education Sector
plans and programmes. The workshop that kicked off today morning and will end
tomorrow aims at minimizing the number of child labor in Turkana county which
is rising due to many factors such as poverty and negligence. Speaking during
the workshop was attended by different
leaders in various sectors in the county, the program coordinator Bernard Kiora
said that child labor can only be stopped through change of attitude by the
community.
