The Ministry of Roads
and Transport launched a 6k.m road network plan in which the construction is
going to begin soon and it will include construction of the road linking Town
to Napetet, Makuti to Lodwar stadium, Town to the Cathedral Church, Town to St.
Teresa’s Center,Robert’s place in Kanamkemer to the Governor’s office among
others. The launching was presided over by Turkana County Governor, Hon.
Josephat Nanok, accompanied by other leaders among them the Deputy Governor,
County Ministers, M.C.A’s and Frontier Company which is responsible for the
construction. Speaking at the event, County Minister for Roads and Transport, Mr.
Augustine Logiron, said that his Ministry has spent close to 80% of the funds
budgeted for road construction as per the previous financial year.Monday, September 22, 2014
