The general teachings on awereness of HIV &AIDS campaign was today held at Emmanuel centre at saint Augustines cathedral Lodwar.The meeting was attended by three Constituency Aids Control Committee Co-ordinators in Turkana County Alfred Ikeny Emanman-Turkana Central,Erupe Yesse-Turkana South, Joseph Kimutai Arap Keter-Turkana North and 30 members of the Community Based Organization from each constituencies mentioned above.
Speaking to one of our reporters, Mr.Kimutai Joseph Arap Keter said that, the Total War on Aids programme is a world bank funded through National Aids Control Council which has been split into two main sub branches that is; the District Technical Committee and Constituency Aids Control Committee. He also concluded by saying that the activities was set to begin soon and shall be called off after a duration of six months.Members were asked to know the number of people trained and later underwent testing so as to get funds for the AIDS compaign.
