Local news – 05.08.2011 - By Zacheaus Otaba - Well prepared for the ordination, says bishop Kimengich
The preparations for the priesthood and dioconet ordination set to take place tomorrow, has been finalized. Speaking today at st. Augustine’s cathedral Catholic Church, the bishop for catholic diocese of lodwar, his lordship bishop Dominic Kimengich, said that everything is in place. He added that all the two candidates have undergone enough rehearsal in preparation for the ordination. On service delivery, the bishop said that the diocese of lodwar is too wide that needs more priests, while the whole diocese has only 56 priests who are not enough. He called for the priests to be obedient to their authority and stick to their faith in the lord. However he called for priests to be strong always and fear god but not god to fear them, when delivering their service. The bishop thanked vicar general father Joseph Ekalimon for his commitment in making sure that all areas concern have been attended to.
