The County
Executive Committee member of Health Turkana County, Hon. Jane Ajele
accompanied the chief officer Agnes Mana made mothers to smile at
maternity ward and pediatrics ward where they distributed Baby shawls and other
baby clothes to the new born babies in the entire ward and milk to all the
children in the children ward.
Hon. Ajele urged
all mothers to deliver in the hospital so at to seek specialized attention to
minimize infant deaths and get quality services for these maternal services are
free and expectant mothers need to be supported by all relatives and family
members to seek these services.
Hon. Ajele
took the opportunity to convey her wishes of the new year and the entire Health
Family of Turkana county to all the people of Turkana and called for unity in
service delivery in the new year.
She also
encouraged all to cooperate with doctors when they seek medical attention and
especially change their attitudes towards the oxygen for people fear and refuse
to be helped through this method.
