The dead of
a 2years old baby forced residents of Kakuma to demonstrate accusing a clinical
officer to be held responsible.
The incident
which happened on Saturday lasted for 6 hours forcing police officers to
control the situation by firing teargas to disperse the crowd.
Confirming
the Incident OCPD of Turkana west David Nyabuto said that they arrested the
clinical officer for investigation
According to
clinical officer the child was suffering from malaria and was visiting the
clinic for five days but long last the baby passed away.
Cases of
Malaria in Turkana west reported every day, in kakuma refugee camp the number
of Malaria is recorded high where by every day adult are said to be more than
30 patient daily and children 50 and above.
People are
advised to use mosquito nets to prevent mosquitoes.
