Christians
of St Agustine Cathedral were today
urged to accept changes in their lives especially in this new year.
Speaking in the first Sunday homily Fr. Damiano Eripon
urged the Christians to have wisdom and accept new changes ihappening in their
lives. Fr. Damiano gave a comparison from the book of Isaiah and also the
gospel of Matthew where king Herod instructed the killing of all male infants
after he heard of the birth of Jesus.
He further
added that in the current world many people are not will to embrace change be
it at home, church and in their working places.
This day was
marked as a very important day in the catholic calendar of events as it was the
first Sunday of 2016 which was termed as Epiphany meaning that Christ is seen
as the Messiah of the world. The Epiphany also illustrates that Christ created
many stars that testifies in our day to day life.
Fr. Eripon
concluded by reminding Christians to preserve this stars so as they can
illuminate the world by following the teachings in the church and also the good
virtues in a Christian’s life.
