Christians
of St Augustine were urged to learn to appreciate one another in
everything they do. This was said by Father
Isaiah Ajiri during the celebration of the second Sunday of the ordinary day of
the Church Calendar.
Reading from
the first reading in the book of Isaiah and the gospel from the book of John,
Fr Ajiri said that Jesus Christ performed miracles in wedding ceremony of cana
shows that he was obedient to His mother.
He also
added that there are different duties in Church such as ushers, choir,
Preachers and urged Christians to respect everyone’s position and pray for each
other.
The families
were also reminded to respect their marriages as it means bonding together as
one body and listening to each other. Fr. Ajiri also added that respect and obedience
form the base to gauge faithfulness and said that it helps us to learn, forgive
and forget the past.
He concluded
by saying that Christians should fulfill the covenant by being obedient through
following the commandments of God in
Church and outside without resisting.
