Turkana central MP John Lodepe opened new classrooms for Nakwaperit
primary School in Kang’agetei Sub –Location in Kerio Delta Ward. Besides
opening the classrooms the MP also opened a doctor’s house where Nakwaperit
health centre clinic officer will be staying. The 2 classrooms were constructed
at a cost of sh. 1.4 million while the cost of the new doctor’s structure is sh.
1.6 million. The new classrooms will greatly boost the education sector in the
school and the region.
Speaking during the opening of the classrooms the area MP urged the
pupils to take advantage CDF funds to get education. He added that since the
introduction of CDF funds Nakwaperit village has never benefited and that this is
the first structure constructed by CDF funds.
Lodepe also promised to supply rice to the school tomorrow when they
reopen for the first term.
Nakwaperit primary school head teacher Samuel Eregai Emanman said that
for the past three years no pupil from the school has ever joined form one and
it is their hope that this year they will get an opportunity after 8 candidates
out of the total 15 who did their K.C.P.E last year managed to score 200 marks
and above.
The school has 3 teachers currently and the head teacher has urged TSC
director to employ more teachers.
