Local news - 25.8.12 - By Mary Tioko - Ann Losikiria and Nicholas Echom – celebrate holy sacrament of Matrimony at St. Augustine's cathedral

Mr. Nicholas Echom who works in Help Age international and his wife Mrs. Ann Losikiria solemnized their marriage today at St. Augustine's cathedral parish ahead of couples day tomorrow. Witnessing the sacrament of the two couples saying to each other yes I do, the parish priest of St. Mary's Kalokol Parish Fr. Isaiah Ajiri said that this marriage celebrates the creation of man and woman right from the beginning. Fr. Ajiri said that the sacrament of matrimony reminds the two couples of the love of Christ that has no end. The priest informed the newly weds to be faithful to each other and above all put respect as their pillar. Fr. Ajiri also warned against the two evils that destroy marriages saying that woman and wealth make the marriages to break. He called upon all in marriage life to always remind each other of their first love which always has no end saying that just as Christ loved the church unconditionally, their love should be unconditional. He also rebuked the statement that the beautiful ones have not been born encouraging men to love their women even if they have Aged and respect them as their compliments in life. Fr. Ajiri also added that as long as the marriage exists then love should exist among couples and that when problems arise they should solve them amicably and consult Christ in prayer.
