Parents have today been asked to be ready to protect children against all sorts of abuse. Speaking today during a Elimika na Watoto music extravaganza at Lokiriama Hall, Terre des hommes, project officer, Turkana Office, Mr. Godfrey Eng'or, said his organization is prepared to ensure that child rights are highlighted so that parents may know their responsibilities.
He said has been done in the last one year through radio pro grammes at Hossana and Akicha radios. He added that Terre des hommes will continue playing this role to help nurture an upright community in the future.
The extravaganza, whose main aim was to enhance the participation of children in the listening to the radio pro grammes, was sponsored by Terre des hommes, in collaboration with Hosanna and Akicha radios, Nadirkonyen Catholic Center, Child Fund and International Rescue Committee.
