The Diocese of Lodwar annual priests retreat which was held at St.Teresa Pastoral Center has ended today with mass presided by his Lordship Bishop Patrick Harrington assisted By Fr. John Kizito Manzi. Speaking during the homily the formator of the SMA in Nairobi Fr. Tom McNamara encouraged the priests to have their perceptions deepened. Fr. McNamara invoked the holy spirit to send the gift of wisdom which is the great gift to guide the priests in their pastoral work within the Diocese.
The priest prayed for their deceased brothers in the priesthood who had worked in the Diocese and left good legacies led by the Late Bishop John Mahon. He encouraged the priests to continue with the good example that was left behind and also aspire to live good example behind. He encouraged the fellow priest not to look at the past but focus on tomorrow and also pray for the grace to put into practice all the resolutions of the retreat.
The participants also were urged to thank God for their different vocations, family , priesthood and religious and know that the world is a vine yard of the lord and thus he his their always with them in their sufferings in serving the people of God.
