A 40 year old woman from Nabulon Loborot village Kanamkemer in Lodwar killed her own son on allegation that he had killed a goat.
The woman namely Mr. Asekon Nasike is said to have gone out on 12th Friday to look for her other child who had gone missing, on reporting back the following day on 13th she found a goat skin outside the house and without inquiring she got hold of her child namely Ng,aipeyok Lopua aged 10 years who remained home and started beating him.
The Neighbors tried to intervene so that to save the kid but all was in vain because they were being chased away by the woman.
According to eye witnesses it is said that, the woman used the rope to tie the diseased both legs ,hands and neck and moved him to a nearby shrub tree and strangled him to death.
The good Samaritan who heard the commotion rushed to the police and reported the matter. The police took action immediately and rushed to the scene and took the body of the diseased boy to Lodwar District Hospital Mortuary for postmortem and Mrs. Nasike the murderer is in police custody awaiting to be arraigned in Kitale High Court on Tuesday18th November 2010.
