Local news – 20.10.2010 - By emmanuel erukudi - Games organised by lokiriama sports department to celebrate mashujaa day
Lokiriama sports department today organised girls volleyball and netball games within the three parishes holy family(Kanamkemer), Risen christ
(Nakwamekwi) and St.augustine (Cathedrall Parish) also,st augustine women participated in this games.
The game started immediately when the players arrived. St.augutines' women played netball with the risen christ and they won 17-7,whereby Kawalase under St.augustine parish played with Kanamkermer won two sets in volleyball.
The main theme of these games was to celebrate Mashujaa Day recognising for those who struggled for the independents in this counry.
Speaking to akicha reporter today, Mr Jery Etir Elim the organiser of this games said that the other reason why this games were organised was to enlighten girls on the side of games since most girls are being underated when it comes to games.
He also said that this will help girls to equip their talents and be ready to suit any field given to them and have potential in it.
