The National media completed two
day training on media guideline at Lodwar Lodge guest house.
The vice chairman of media council
Mr. Victor Bwire said that the journalist should not base on negative sides but
also positive part of the story to avoid conflict in the community.
He promised to come back in January
next year to Educate journalist on county assembly reporting and also writing
stories about county assemble.
The Turkana county speaker Hon Geoffrey
Kaituko attended the last session of the last day and he said that media and
public are allowed by the constitution to take part in county assembly session.
Commenting on Kenya Information and communication bill KICA which was passed
with the National Assembly, he said that the way the bill was done cannot pass
the test of constitution.
However added that any Kenyan can
media to take the opportunity to take the bill to the high court and stop it be
Implemented, he was also shocked that not many people understands the
constitution and urged the media to educate them. The speaker promised to
create space for media to carry on with their work ones the construction will
be finished.
