C
ti Christians have been reminded
that they are people of light and not darkness. Speaking at Thanksgiving mass
of Deacon Moses Lomodo today morning at St. Augustine's Cathedral parish, His
Lordship Dominic Kimengich informed the faithful’s present to walk in the light
of Christ that will eventually lead them to heaven. His lordship also thanked
God for the gift of Deacon Moses who accepted to be a missionary in the
neighboring country of South Sudan in the Diocese of Torit.
His Lordship called upon all Christians to
pray for the Deacon as he accepted to do the will of God in a Torit and added
that he did not fear for he is the son of Light and that he prays for the same
light of Christ to guide them in their actions so as not to fall into
temptations. His lordship reminded them to re - examine themselves
before deciding to do any action. He also reminded them of the divisions of the
old church that had a lot of divisions and added that even among them there are
a lot of divisions that need to be avoided in order to prosper. He encouraged
them to leave rumors and do what is right. He urged them to be united in order
to develop and always be in love. He said that Christians here are divided
according to their old leadership. Referring to the county leadership he said
that leaders need to unite and serve people well since leadership comes from
God. He urged all Christians to be peace keepers and pray for peace in their
families, County and the Nation at large.
