The Board of Director for LOWASCO has
turned down the allegation that have been surrounded by the company by the
county government on corruption as a malicious. The chairperson of LOWASCO Prof
Thomas Akuja said that the allegations are malicious and intend to defamation
and the team was recruited through an open air competitive processes
spearheaded by WASREB. Professor however said that this was done within the the
provincial of water Act, 2002. Where Application for the posts of directors to
represent the civil community of Lodwar and was open to all.
Prof Akuja also said that those
who fill that LOWASCO is not doing the right way they should follow the right
Chanel. LOWASCO was reacting following several allegations in by the county
government in public functions and also in the county Assembly where they
discussed about the lowasco employing more than 71 workers instead of 35 workers.
The managing Director of Lowasco Mr John Esekon said that LOWASCO had 300 connections
for the past one year and now it has more than 500 connections and the workers
should be increased so as to save their customers. He also said that there are
some department in the government which has a debt of more than 5million and
they will now disconnect their lines.
