CHOK CHOK VILLAGE RECEIVES RELIEF FOOD FROM THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Turkana County Government started food distribution in every corner of the county whereby villagers of Chok  chok which is 20 Km from Lodwar Town benefited with 33 bags of maize, 8 bags of beans and 100 litres of cooking oil. During the ceremony, Chok chok primary head teacher, Mr. Christopher Lokwawi said that event faced challenges of water, healthcare and school amenities, however he said that pupils walk 6 km from school to fetch water from River Turkwel for consumption. He therefore urged the county government to intervene on the issue.
