LOCAL NEWS BY - KEN SIMIYU - 30-7-2014 - LOIMA SUB-COUNTY SCHOOLS STILL FACING A MAJOR CHALLENGE OF UNDERSTAFFING

County Education Minister, Miss Margaret Kuchar said that Loima Sub-County is the leading area in the County with the highest population without formal education.Following the report by the Minister that Loima Sub-County is trailing behind in the education sector, this prompted them to follow up the case. According to a case study done at Lokiriama Primary School that was established in 1988, with a population of 292 pupils  revealed that only 3 teachers are present in the school to handle the high number of pupils. Speaking on phone, Loima Sub-County Administrator, Mr. Titus Ekiru, said that Lokiriama primary school is representing a problem that is faced in schools all over the Sub-County.
