Inspector General of Police, David Kimaiyo met with
Turkana County Leaders at Tullow Oil Company based in Lokichar to assess the security situation and come up with
a long lasting solution to the insecurity along the Turkana-Pokot County
borders.. Among them was Deputy Governor, Peter Ekai, Turkana South MP, James Lomenen,
Loima Member of Parliament, Protus Akuja, Turkana County Senator, John Munyes
and other leaders. They converged The Inspector General of police, David Kimaiyo,
said that Turkana County has a great chance of developing and that they won’t
allow insecurity to interfere with the current developments in the region.Turkana
county deputy governor said that he was impressed seeing the two parties coming
together as a step forward towards boosting
security in the area and hopes the promises given by the Inspector general will
be fulfilled.
