The Ministry of Health
at Lodwar Referral hospital launched 3 Lorries to be used in the supplying of
medicines to dispensaries all over Turkana County. Each of the Lorries was
assigned to deliver medicines to different parts in both Government and Missionary
facilities. The launching of the vehicles comes as part of plan by the County Government
to boost the provision of Health Care Services to remote areas. It also comes
after the Ministry of Health recently assessed the project of constructing
modern dispensaries in every ward which they confirmed most of them were at the
final stage. Speaking during the launching event at Lodwar Referral hospital in
Lodwar Town, County Minister for Health, Hon. Jane Ajele said they will also
build a warehouse where the medicines will be stored and picked from later for
distribution.
