A.R.P Loima project is
a diocesan programme that is carried out at Loima Sub-County to build and improve
the Community Resilience on drought related disasters response. The Committee
in charge of the project met with Loima Sub-County Administrator and other
leaders to popularize the programme and gave its objectives. The project aims
at increasing food security by helping the farmers carry out irrigation, it
also aims at teaching the community entrepreneur skills to increase income and
improve live hoods through business. It will also provide training on conflict
resolution to the community on how they can solve either internal conflicts or
external conflicts based on balanced judgment. Speaking about A.R.P Loima
project, the officer in charge, Mr. Daniel Edan, said they are training the
community to reduce the risk of disasters and good use of early warning information
so as to prevent themselves from being affected.
