Taka Turkana Initiative
Programme was launched at Mikeka Grounds, an event that was graced by the County
Minister for Energy, Environment and Natural Resources, Honorable Rodah Loyor. The
programme which is started by a group of youths is targeting to maintain the
cleanliness of the County in every sector such as hotels, homesteads, school
compounds, organizations and other main areas. Speaking at the event, the guest
of honor, Honorable Loyor congratulated the brains behind the programme then proceeded
by saying that everyone should be responsible in taking care of the
environment. She warned those who would not be careful in taking care of the
environment will face the law. She also added that her ministry is focusing on
environmental conservation, sustainable utilization of energy and other natural
resources and ensuring that energy and leakages are achieved.
